A friend of mine (owning a Porsche) found a very cool document about the nurburgring. It shows the track, lap by lap with all kinds of descriptive information about the surface, rises and falls, speed, etc. Definitely worth a look. He put it on his server space, so grab it before he remove it :

PS: Shark, that's very valuable tips to prepare a track session, isn't?

Excellent ! Thanks for the pdf. Now all plans are set :
    1) german autobahn to test max speed
    2) Get the new exhaust at Novitec
    3) Go to the Nurburgring

Life can be THAT simple :).

    Or maybe not ?

Anyway, we should try and plan the next F-car session in Romandie...

Yes, good reading. There are a few good sites (http://www.nurburgring.org.uk/ is a good starting point) and mailing lists which help in getting documented.
Although nothing will replace actual experience on the place, GT4 is probably still valuable to get some notion of the track, realize how tricky it can possibly get, and how careful one needs to be to stay away from trouble.

this pdf has a bend missing.....it was hedwighohe - but they do kind of describe it in panel 3 on p16 - it was the lack of name and funny layout that threw me!

We should effectively organize the next Romandie trip !!!

FYI, my employer is very kind in compensating the 2005 labor day by giving us Monday the 2nd of May.

I'm currently trying to organize something with my colleague Radu. So if you are (or can be) available on this date, you are welcome.

We initially thought of doing a "Lacquais" track day. But unfortunately, this date is already booked. So we are looking for something else ...

Radu's "tractor" is not yet back. :) He is looking to convert the 500HP to something like 700HP by turbo-charging the car !! He is insane!

In the meantime, we should improve your style. Otherwise he will start waiting on us instead of the opposite!

Yep, I'm talking about a local Fchat Romandie event. I mean a small one (like the previous one organized by Shark) to enjoy the local scenic roads.

    A+,

    Christophe.
