Assuming that most members are professional and work in some kind of office, what kind of office chair do most of you recommend?

    Paul,

First to answer your question: I use Herman Miller products.

Second, a question of my own: What on earth does this have to do with Ferrari 365 GT4 2+2/400/412?!?

    Regards,

    Art S.

Somehow, I think I'm in the middle of a big mess, but I had an aboslutely gorgeous leather Recaro office chair for about 72 hours, which as recall was at least 71 hours too many, so i quickly went back to a plain old office chair that was at least comfortable

Mine is an Aeron. I'm sure that the reason the question is posted here is because 400 series owners are obviously well known to be highly discriminating as to where they put their butts when they sit down! ;-)

I usually use a Cobra racing seat for my office chair. It is usually to not to bad to seat in, I wouldn't recommed sitting in it for to long.

To ArtS, sorry for the post, I own a 400i. I also just bought a business and would like a personal chair for my office. Knowing that Ferrari's are some of the most personal of objects, who better to ask than the owner of such a car.

The seats in the 400, well the series 1 at least, are just about the most comfortable I've ever sat in for a long journey. Maybe get one for your new office?

I don't think its a coincidence that Paul posted his chair question on 10/04/07 at 7:02 EST. I think some of us have been waiting a long time for a sign like this.

Oh, I have an Aeron, blue mesh with black trim and black leather arm rests.

    Mark,

    You're a month off.

    Paul,

No problem, though this belongs in 'off topic', I think it's slow enough around here to accomodate your question ;) .

By the way, in my opinion, the ultimate chair would be a jet fighter ejection seat!

    Regards,

    Art S.

Had two, not too comfortable, sold them.

I don't recall what they were out of.

What about adapting a Ferrari bucket seat to your chair base? My friend Joey has a tan 355 drivers seat (no seat tracks) and a pair of tan Mondial t seats with seat tracks AND lap belts for sale @ $400 each. Shipping is not a problem, neither are pictures. He can be reached at 800-631-5589 ext.46 or [email protected]

I have an office chair that might fit pretty well in this thread actually, yet to see another one at any rate. It was made out of a standard base on which a Mercedes Benz passenger seat from a 1989 420SEL was attached with all seat controls. The rails were also attached, and a 18v battery pack from a cordless drill is used to power the who set up which is fully functional. Pretty heavy set up but too cool not to use, just gotta be careful not to move the controls aft too much :)

Paul, not only classy, but that leather smell.....ah.
No seat tracks on the 355 seat, not sure why. Bought the seats from a dealer's overstock warehouse.
Possibly the seat was complete at one time, and the sales department needed the tracks and motors to make a 355 Spider seat go fore & aft thereby allowing the top to function, so they could close a deal???? Who know what evil lurks behind a dealers closed doors?
