    Hello everyone, respectfully request a welcome back after my 5 day ban. I have a couple of things I would like to say but first the most important. If I offended anybody with the remark I made please accept my apology. Also I would like to specifically
    say I am sorry to Woodear because he seemed to be the most upset with me. I intended no harm. Now with that out of the way I would only like to explain that I in no way dislike or hate Asian food (rice), I in no way hate or dislike Asian countries and I do not hate Asian people. If this is how my post was taken again I am sorry.The one thing that does get under my skin (I know I'm going to take some flak about this but I think I can post some form of opinion, heck everyone else dose) and what I was referring to was4 door foreign (AND DOMESTIC) cars that were never designed from the start to be performance cars but are all craped up with all kinds of carbon and fart can mufflers. now as far as the ban is concerned I also have a couple of things to say. (Which will prob. get me banned again :)) In my 2 or 3 years (cant remember) on F chat and my 500+ posts I don't think I have ever had words with anybody. I do not go around trying to pick fights or antagonize people. Please feel free to check past posts. I think one time there was 1 post where someone said they didn't like something I said so I did the same thing as now.I apologized. As far as being ban by Ghost I am disappointed and offended. Seems sometimes on Fchat some things are taken to serious. The thing that got me going was where it was said I had been warned. Where? When? And about what? The answer is never.This statement souned as if it was intended to make me out as a troll and troublemaker here on F chat.As stated before I stay out of fights. I am not here to make enemies and therefore have never been "warned" In the last week or so i have seen posts where things have been said that I feel are far worse than anything I have ever posted.I will not say who said them or where they are. (if you find them so be it) But... in one a post told another member to shut the fock up. In another it said something about teaching kids to kill Muslims!!!!(this isn't offensive?) and in the last it mentioned the much feared word "ri-er" No ban, no warning, nothing was said at all. Selective enforcment? Thank you all for all the great info I have read off F chat. I enjoy it very much. And thank you for letting me vent just a little. Respectfully, Greg

    PS One other thing. On one thread it was said SU-K M- D-CK spelled out with all the letters, no other symbols. ?????? I rest my case.

    fwerfff.....with the new moderation going, the bans and warnings have been INCONSISTENT in my opinion

    Greg, welcome back. Appreciate the honest apology and understand the intent not to offend. Unfortunately, in order to moderate equitably, one has to apply the rules in the same manner. Take a read back over the threads that day and you will notice numerous warnings given for using words deemed sensitive. Whether you were caught in the crossfire of just trying to be humorous with your post, I don't know, but you did violate the rules and therefore had to face the same ban that W00dEar did. You will note that this is a decision Rob Lay also supported.

    Your point on lack of consistency in moderation across forums is well-taken. The rules are clear. However, they are just being moderated differently. It is also difficult for the mods to watch every post as - contrary to popular belief - we do have real day jobs. Nonetheless, Rob is aware of this issue and is keen to standardize - just today he posted something to the moderators on this very point. You will start to see a more stringent enforcement of the rules across the board. You should also be proactive about enforcement: if you feel the rules are not being followed, then alert a forum moderator.

    I'll hope you'll understand it was not personal, and that we can put this behind us and move on. I look forward to your contributions.

    I do not wish to stir sh-t. Only want to make a point. I went back and checked the thread. There were exactly 7 posts made before mine. None mentioned any type of warning as far as I can see.

    Greg,

    1) no need to apologize. i never thought you were trying to offend asian with the comments. you were just caught in the crossfire, and probably thought the words banning enforcement was getting ridiculous so u slipped out.

    2) i totally agree with you that things are being taken way too seriously here. and rule enforcement is not consistent either.

    3) the way i see it. you were just a victim :D i am pretty sure that moderator just wanted to ban me badly, but had to ban you as well to show equality so i would have nothing to say.

    now, welcome back. :)

    I'll throw in my 2 cents up in here since I was the creater of the thread which got both of you banned. Didn't think the thread would get that out of hand. Just wanted to point out that people of a darker skin complexion (gotta be PC) don't like to see the word n-i-g-g-a, n-i-g-g-e-r, and even n-u-k-k-a. Some people didn't like the way the word vag___ was being used in a derogatory sense. So both of those words get blocked. If you are gonna block/ban certain words because members find them offensive then you are gonna have to ban every word that members find offensive.

    I mean now we can't even talk about a female dog who is having problems with her reproductive organs :D
