    That's a surprise, but works if you broaden the meaning of the term "Performance Car" to basically mean, "It can be Fun to Drive".
    What it really highlights is how good a lot of cars are today, even inexpensive ones.

    It is ugly but I have a feeling its a lot of fun.

    A friend let me drive his Civic Type R a few weeks ago and it was more fun than anything Ive driven in a very long time.

    An Ariel Atom is a lot of run to drive. A lot of things are fun to drive. That doesn't make them Performance cars of the year -- particularly when this car is already 3 years OLD

    They said they voted for it because it had a Manual. Well, like only 5% of them are manuals. If you look at this car most of them are slushboxes.

    It isn't 3 years old. The second-gen Veloster is new for the 2019 model year.
    The Veloster N is only available in manual.

    I just took my 600 LT on track- that car is expensive and not practical. It is also ludicrous awesome. I went straight to plaid* passing a GT2RS in competent hands.
