Or call Iwan Ries & Co. in Chicago or Nat Sherman in NYC. Both excellent, old school tobacconists.

Alternatively, try a pipe forum called "Brothers of the Briar". There you'll surely find plenty of good suggestions.

I'm a pipe smoker, but not into seeking out the vintage blends. I generally buy tinned tobaccos from Dunhill, Peterson or DAN Tobacco. Also buy some bulk stuff from my local stockist.

Oh, G.L. Pease makes some fine shag too!

    Cheers,
    Aaron

If you like aromatic tobacco, this little store has been known for over 75 years for selling "The Wilshire Blend." I am a cigar man, but I am a huge fan of this blend. Give it a shot.

I have a friend from Dubai. He's often carrying a 'one hit pipe' and a glass vile of a fine, almost powdery tobacco. I always assumed it's snuff. It smells sooooo sweet when hie smokes it. I know for a fact it's not a drug he's smoking. I always meant to ask him what it was.

    Any thoughts?

Not the "hash" from marijuana, but the ha-shiesh that you would smoke in a hookah.??? Or you could just ask him? Pass some of it this way!

I think you're thinking of shisha (sp?) for the hookah. Shisha is thick cut tobacco and gooey with molasses. Definateky not it

He has since moved back to Dubai. I'll figure it out one of these days
