I have been thinking about doing a "Points" thing for the Driving Season...just like F1,for those who attend events. This is totally different than Andreas' Gumball Trophy for the end of the Year. That is for who attends the most events all Year,in an 8 Cylinder and 12 Cylinder Class. Great thing, and he had some really nice Trophies last December for the Winners. That won't be affected at all. My idea is different...in addition to...so to say.

But,what I'd like to do,is give everyone who attends an event, points that they can trade in at the end of the Year for Trophies,Plaques,Prizes,Gift Cards at Restaraunts or Speedgear,Whatever.Yet to be determined... But,more people will have a chance to win something.

Different point amounts for different events. Anyone on FChat Chicago/Midwest can do it. But,for any F.O.C. sponsored events, the Members will get a few more points than non Members. But,not all events will be F.O.C. Sponsored. And,points amounts will all accrue, whether you are an F.O.C. Member or not. If you are a Non Member, you might gain more points than a Member,if they don't attend as many events. You never know... I can tell you right now that I probably wont be able to make every event either. And,we will let you know which events will be included or will qualify for points beforehand.

Prizes will depend on how many participate.

Anyone Interested? Feedback? Suggestions? Additional Ideas? let me know....Thanks!

This is something I think the board(only) of the FOC-Midwest should discuss, before you vent the idea publicly.

Cool it, we need to maintain some type of decorum.

Your zealousness is overriding your sensibility!

Since when did the "Board" start discussing things?... Just kidding....:)

No,This is something that I want to do. On my own. Not an "F.O.C." thing, really. It's just for Fun. Not seeing any "Over Zealousness" or "Lack of Sensibility" here...I will provide the Prizes and keep track of the Points. Not pushing Membership or anything....Just a fun idea.

But,before doing ANYTHING ,I just wanted to toss it out there to see if anyone might even be interested. If not, then I won't do it. Just thought it would be a Fun thing to do.

I actually got the Idea from my Health Club....They are having a "Monopoly" game. Everytime you go there to work out,you grab a colored, numbered Dot and stick it on your Monopoly Card. Just something more...in addition to...to make things interesting...

    Actually,I'm heading there now!!!....:)

Im glad you are watching your weight and taking care of yourself. You always take shots at your weight and what all the John Belushi rival type years you had and the toll it has taken. Personally I think the weight suits you well as the mobster look is quite cool. I am sure a few Hiedi Klumm type divorcees give you an eye as your dropping off Franky Jr in your 308. But good for you Frank, I hope you see and feel results of maintaining your body as much as you care about your car. With all the poor health stories going around, any word of improvement for anyone is a good word.

Man,I gotta get my arse moving Here. Going up to MKE for the weekend to see me old Gramps....It only takes a little over an hour to get up there....But,I won't be going over to his 'Crib' until Tomm.

Anyway. Thanks alot,David,(and Phillip) for that. Well, the reason that I always poke fun at my Fatness,is because it's so "Not Me"....I have always been In really Good Shape my whole Life. But,after this car accident that I had in 2001,just screwed me up totally. I couldn't work out at the Gym,which I used to do almost every day. So,I got Fat.

At first,it was kind of funny...and I really liked the Good Eating, the Fine Restaraunts,Looking like Pavarotti,or that one Big fat Chef guy who looks like that Fat guy who was in the Burt Reynolds Movies,(is it Paul Prudhome???) ....Etc..:) But,after Skip,Tod,and my buddy John-who are ALL 3 in Much Better shape than I am-had Heart Attacks,or Heart Bypass Surgeries, these past few Months. It really got me thinking....As a parent. Big time Wake up call...And,to top it off,I have to take the Arthritis Drug "Bextra",which, they are now saying can cause Heart problems. Great! Just Great! So,I really have to take care of myself now for my Kids. And,you guys all know what a cute little guy Frankie is...:) I have to be there for Them. ( And,my Daughter is almost 14,and going into High School next Year. I MUST be around to intimidate the young men when they come sniffing around...Hmmmm....maybe I better stay Big,huh?...:) ) Or bribe them with rides in the Ferrari....:)

And,my Doc. told me that if I can lose the Weight,it will take the weight off of all of my Arthritic Joints. Then, they won't hurt as bad. Then, maybe I can toss the Bextra,(and my Cane) and just use Tylenol,or something....

I never had an Old Man when I was growing up, (hence all of the comments
about my Grandfather all of the time). So,when I became a Dad,decided to be there,100% for MY Kids. So,I am....but I won't be if I stay a Fat Slob....

So,it's nothing but Healthy,(TOOOO Healthy...:( ) Eating, and Exercise in my house right now. ( And I am a hopeless ChocoHolic! It is Very Tough....have you ever eaten Chocolate Sprayed Rice Cakes before? Hey,only 60 Calories, and 0 Fat....You get used to pooping out Styrofoam Coolers every Morning...:) ) And,I am the Chef in the House,so,when I am on a Diet, everyone is on a Diet. I run a strict Boot Camp here....:)

Now,to the Business at hand....would anyone be interested in a Points thing like F1? You will accrue points when you attend events. Different events will have different points amounts. Everyone will get the same points amounts for the same events. Sound like Fun? I will keep track of points. And,depending on how many want to do it,will depend on the Prizes at the end of the Year that you can trade in your Points for. Who knows what...I'm thinking Gas Cards,A Year Membership to the FOC,(on me), A Free entry to next Years Karting event,(I will cover it,too),Speedgear Stuff,Restaraunt Gift Cards,....I'll keep thinking.... Maybe,we can get some stuff thrown in from any Sponsors???? (Hint,Hint...;) )

And,Andreas' Gumball trophies will still go to whomever attends the MOST events. That will still remain a Challenge!

So,folks,Let me know what you think....(Skip,I already got your response...Sounds like you are getting better...back to your old self....But,thats a Good Thing!...:) )

It made perfect sense to me when I wrote it bloke, but you're bloody well right.

Now I don't even understand what I was trying to say! :)

And no disrespect was meant to Frank by saying it; he knows that.

I guess it is that time of year when we're all getting a bit antsy. Too long inside, has been a while since we last turned that key in the Ferrari's ignition. I feel it myself, calling the shop now every week... But hey, March is a stone throw away. Soon we'll all be collecting points.
    :)
