I heard about this thing back in the early 90's when I was the sales manager at a Porsche franchise. Some kind of funky prototype.

 

ist from 1984 to 1986, the cars hade a horrible Price, double than a Turbo 911. As i wrote, the built only 9 and the 2 prototypes. Think there is noone in the states.

 

Saw one of them around Zuffenhausen in '85. Was told it was a "Butzi Toy".
I didn't think much about it or care, because I was driving the only prototype US version of the 944 Turbo.

 

VW bought one in 2011 for there Museum in Wolfsburg. Porsche dont have one...

There are several that were built privately, even using earlier VW Bus bodies... don't know if any factory units made it here.
