PPF

I would not apply PPF to a classic - my cars are really driven from March to October, but a good paint surface can stand all normal stress - including dried insects at the doors when you REALLY drive your Dino as intended

PPF Does offer great protection to the paint and if properly installed can be almost invisible. I do not think there would be any points deductions for having it.

That said the nose on a Dino is very complex and I cannot imagine it is possible to do the nose without some visible seams. There are just too many concave and convex surfaces near one another to allow for a seamless wrap like on a modern car. We chose against it but instead went for a good paint correction and a thick application of Ceramic Pro coating. This coating will not give the impact protection that PPF does but it will protect against contaminants and makes cleaning a lot easier. For me it represents my acceptable level of protection and I would rather re-paint the nose every decade or so rather than deal with PPF seams.

 

What’s more beautiful than traces of regular use - stone chips and wear is completely natural on these old low and curved cars and can be fixed with layer of fresh paint if it becomes too excessive after all

For me NOT installing PPF on your car is a no-brainer. This is no other real protection "device" for the paint and on top of that you can wash your car easier and it looks more shiny all the time, because you almost added another layer of clear coat. I don't see why people are afraid of it, honestly.

To prefer to repaint your car, instead of installing PPF is just stupid, in my opinion. Also - not having signs of wear is much better than having signs of wear, if you think of it...
