If VelocePress counts, then yes, I'm in the business.

Hopefully, a tailored fit will be found...

tonyh - Thanks for the head's up on Stewart - I had no idea he was in the business, but already dug his writing style.

judge4re - I gather VeloceToday is the online offspring of VelocePress?

I can give you overall strategic legal advice, and specific copyright advice, regarding book, music and other content publishing. Do you have my phone number? (since i don't like doing this in an open forum, other than to answer general questions or issues applicable to all)

I've published 10 books since 1977 and have a small publishing company. I have a pretty good idea of what's going on in the publishing business like agents, unsolicited manuscripts, etc. I've helped several people get their work published. One lady is making about $50,000 per month with her company now. The rest, predictably, have not done nearly as well.

You may want to take a look at a book like Writer's Market or Writer's Annual. They list all of the book and magazine publishers in the US with details such as whether or not they accept manuscripts only from agents or from the authors too. There's a wealth of information in them. I usually purchase a copy every year or two (they are updated annually).

Wax- my mother published a book with iUniverse. It now sells online at Amazon.com and BarnsandNoble.com.

I don't think it cost her anything to publish it...

    Good luck!
