    You speak the truth.

@IloveGT it still is - just certain models. a 360 goes down the street, it's a beautiful sports car, but not 'mythical.'

A LaFerrari or say Sp1/Sp2/Sp3 - it's still mythical. You have your pick of the litter with say an F40. Just got to pay to play.

Even in Dubai where I live, Ferraris, while perhaps more common, are revered. I have seen abandoned, derelict ones, but typically a dozen or more people have been trying to buy it as a project, even if the project would leave you upside down. The desire to own (or save) an old Ferrari makes some people irrational, but maybe in a "good" way.

The SUV will change that for the first time. Like every other high end SUVs sold here, I will be able to buy an abused one for next to nothing a few years after the warranty has expired, as the cost of maintenance and repair will make it valueless (like every early Cayenne Turbo in Dubai). That will mark the first time in the history of the company that a Ferrari will have zero value, except as a source of used parts or scrap metal.

While Ferrari will certainly make money with a SUV in the short term, I wonder what creating their first disposable product will do to the mystique they need to sell cars in the future.

Perhaps Ferrari should label them a La DINO- not quite a Ferrari- but a Ferrari in all but name.

Interesting comparison to Portofino - seems to echo previous comments that it is not at all full height SUV - like a BMW X2 with a V12 !

Strange. Is it an illusion of the camo, but it looks to me like there are rear door handles? I thought it was going to be suicide doors.

it can be that it is an old mule and nothing like the final version, but anyway I thought it might be interesting to see what they are doing there.
They were driving a lot of mules and test cars outside the factory. And I have seen people with expensive cameras and telephoto lenses lurking outside the factory, so I guess they were trying to get detailed spy photos of the mules.

It would be great to see a Lusso picture in this same spot to compare. The PS is definitely a foot or 2 longer than the Portofino with about the same clearance underneath

This mule is based on a Maserati levante for mechanical testing.
This is not the definitive chassis.

If that is actually the vehicle, it is not an SUV, it's just an evolution from the FF and Lusso. It's a shooting brake.
