I have an f430 scud and incoming 2015 gt3. I want to actually learn how to drive these cars with an eye toward tracking them. can anyone recommend a great racing instructor in the LA area (santa Monica) who i could connect with for private instruction?

    thanks ji

A good start to even see if you like the track arosc.org (couple hundred) before you make a big investment. Skippy school is over $1000/day

Try a few schools: bondurant, skip barber, Porsche road Atlanta, shifter carts, etc.

John, it sounds like what you are looking for is a high performance driving instructor, not a racing instructor. HP driving and racing are 2 different things. HP driving schools and instructors focus on car control and consistency. You could start with the Alfa Club or with Danny Mckeever's Fast Lane school at Willow Springs and decide after that how much more instruction you need. Good luck!

I have hired a few different private instructors when I was racing LotusCupUSA. Two instructors helped me tremendously. Craig Stanton is a pro driver who instructs as well. He is the smoothest driver I have ever seen.
The other is Jonathan Frost who used to instruct at Skip Barber and now is with LotusCupUSA. He is very very knowledgeable and has a Lot of technical knowledge. Let me know if you want any contact info.
