Radio Trouble

    All of a sudden the radio in my 550 stopped working. The radio unit powers up and operates normally, but no sound comes out of the speakers. I swapped out radio with a new one, but still no sound. I don't see a separate AMP that drives the speakers so I'm mystified. Any suggestions?

    getting no static, nada?

    Can you pop one of the speakers to run an ohm meter across it?

    Seems the wires from the radio to the speaker system either blew a fuse [not sure they have one] or got cut...try to put a speaker on the rear of radio...that is, tap into output and see if you get sound...

    two radios having same problem makes one hope for the lottery.
