Shoule I get an AM Rapide? I have a QP and I am getting a little bored. I was thinking about a Panamera but the Rapide is just so gorgeous (especially compared to the Panamera). But the cost-yikes!

Absolutely YES!!! Love the look of it. Saw it in person at the Detroit Auto Show in 2005. Looked amazing!! Post some pictures when you get it.

    Test drive it first.
Then test drive the Panamera TT.
    Then decide...

I drove a Panamera yesterday and am leaning toward that. I must find a Rapde to drive-not easy.

That was a prototype, the final version is a little different but it still looks great IMHO.

I went down to test drive the car today as they had it in west palm for a couple days. I decided to take my father as my step-mother wants one. Showed up and let him drive first, got a call from work on a deal I've been working on and had to be dropped off before I got behind the wheel! Frustrating.

I think the car is beautiful for a 4 door and the interior was really nice. For the 4 blocks I rode in it the only thing I noticed is that the exhaust would go from a deep growl 500-1500rpms to almost silent at 2-3 then sound really awesome at 4k.

I'm going to go back on Wed and drive it myself.

    Some pics.

Yes, my stepmother actually brought the dog on the test drive. The guy from the dealership didn't seem to mind.

I had an invitation to drive one here in Houston. Since I'm a multiple Aston buyer and I showed interest in the Rapide they wanted to insure I got to drive one for an extended period. True to form I too had a business deal that was a little more pressing and was unable to take the drive. One of my buddies did though and he noted similar thoughts on the exhaust note and a lack of headroom in the rear. Was this your impression? I was hoping to buy one as a family car, but I have a tall crew to accomodate.
