Been driving around happily for 3 months and only just noticed this light (see photo) on top of the dash. Not sure what it's for and what makes it turn on? Any ideas? Thanks, D Image Unavailable, Please Login

I could be wrong but I think it's related to the alarm. I will check again tonight when I open or close the car just to make sure...

Now THAT was a lot of help :D ... on page 1-19 in the lower right corner there is an arrow pointing to the red LED and references are made to it on 1-20 & 21 saying that the LED flashes when the system is armed. If the direction indictors and red LED flash 9 times when you activate the alarm that means one of the doors or hood or trunk are not secure.

The LED turns off when the alarm is not active.

Yes this happened to me when I inadvertently activated car wash mode and went away when I deactivated car wash mode. Peace.

I still have not figured out what it takes to turn on the Car Wash Mode. I would never take it through a car wash but there are times that turning it off and leaving it in neutral would be a good thing. Guess I need to read that part of the manual again.

It seems whenever I put the car into neutral and twist the key to shut it, it locks in part of the way thru the turn and car wash mode pops up. After a few seconds you can then turn the key a little more and take it out.

Yep, I have seen that but after a bit it goes into Park anyway. Guess I am doing something wrong.
