Retirement

Just found out yesterday that after a year long fight, I'm going to be allowed to retire from the Air Force. I've been planning this for the last two years but the air force had other ideas and said they were going to make me stay in another year and a half past my signed commitment. But, after not giving up and some support from "higher ups" that I've worked for in the past, it's back to my plan. Already have my next job lined up and am now back on track to get my CS for myself for Christmas '11. Oh, and to move from Clovis, NM back to Ft Walton Beach is really REALLY nice too.

Well from an ex marine I just want to say THANK YOU for your service and I wish you the best in your next endeavor and congratulations on the retirement...

 

My parents just moved to Clovis for my dad's last job before retiring in a couple of years. Coming from Austin it has been quite an adjustment for them. Without saying it, most of their descriptions of the town concur with your assessment in your personal information.

A few of me neighbors are retired military (1 AF pilot, 1 Marine pilot). Both found their "second career" also involved the miltary or defense in some way, but it pays better. Good luck with your future plans.

Yup, should only be for a bit before I start traveling for my new job but FWB will be home for me.
