Should there be any concerns with taking a 600 mile (roundtrip) in a well maintained 360? Just had belt/fluid service. (7500 miles, 2001 year model).
    Thanks!

Drive it. It won't melt or break, and you will have a great time to boot!

Yes, do NOT do that - it is preprogrammed to blow up ;) Just kidding. In terms of mechanical issues, I wouldn't be any more concerned than with any other car. For some one potential concern is the unwanted attention it may attract (depends on where you go).

The only thing you need to worry about is how you're going to out do such a great experience again some day. :)

I have done several 1,500 mile trips in 328, so 360?

It amazes me that people ask these questions because this is still a car . And those who read the board knows that the more you drive the better these cars are.

On top of that, your car has NO miles so why couldnt make a long drive. 600 mile is one day drive. I did 500 mile trip a few months back, and its been 3 years and 20k miles since last major(doing one at end of season).Plan to drive to NC which is 500 miles one way next month. Also, did a 1600 mile trip in the 360

    DRIVE and ENJOY!

It's amazing how some people are afraid of doing a trip with their Ferrari.

It's amazing some don't drive in rain, that some don't drive on track...

    True!

Although, the cost for a mistake on the track is a little more than the potential for driving in a little rain...not all of us are interested in waiving insurance coverage for a thrill! Besides, my $12,000 shifter kart will do 3gs in the corner and 1-60mph in 3 sec. There isnt a production car on the road with the horsepower to weight ratio that it has - talk about a thrill!

Flip side there aren't many public roads where a Ferrari can be driven like you can on the track. It isn't legal or safe. Many insurance companies do cover and we even have a sponsor that writes track insurance. http://www.hwimotorsports.com/ The track you can always find something faster, it never stops. sometimes driving a "slow" car fast on a track is more fun.

Your car has NO miles on it... do the car (and yourself a favor) and drive the damned thing. If the car is well-maintained and has given you no indication the car is unreliable then why not?

Don't save the car for the next guy...

No cruise control is my problem with such trips.

you aren't picking the twisty roads then. ;)

in the 328 we have a primitive cruise control, the floor mat. <just kidding> although common knowledge 328 owners when you take foot off gas and nothing happens the darn floor mat creped up again. :D

I can't understand NOT driving at the track.

The skills learnt at the track make you a better, safer (albeit), faster driver on the road.

Some of my best memories have been cross country trips in Ferraris...

MI to AZ in a TR
NYC to AZ in a Mondial t cab
AZ to CO in a 308
AZ to Laguna Seca and VA City Hillclimb in a 348 (multiple times)
AZ to LA in the CS
OC to PHX in an F40........... 3hrs, 20mins :) (THAT was a serious memory!)

I would expect every Ferrari to be able to do Mille Miglia (a bit over 600 miles) without a problem. Long and endurance type trips/cruises are *in* their DNA.

    Drive and enjoy it!
