Has anyone heard any updates to US deliveries? I have one on order. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
I am just in the process of configuring mine. I love the CELESTE TREVI exterior color. However, I struggle with the interior choice. Black too boring, currently with Grigio Chiaro. I would appreciate any hint.
This is my first Ferrari, simply because I have always been a Porsche guy. My choice was Celeste Trevi (strangely - I am the first guy in our area of california to have ordered it) with Terra Antica....and after showing it to wife and friends....it got booed as too orange. It actually reminds me of a traditional baseball mitt color. I spent 2.5 hours configuring mine, and "thought" I nailed the interior with the TA. I am changing to a gray interior of sorts...which sounds like that is what u did. From what I can google, your color is a lighter gray I believe. Anyway - I believe darker grays are where I am turning, as it compliments the outer color well.
The configurator is not showing the true color - one needs to decide on the samples. Funny, we also had TA as an option - it works. Alternatively, any dark blue seem to work as well.
The TA was not on the configurator. Strangely, nor were dozens of other choices, like painting the A-pillars and skirting in black. So I'm bringing my wife back with me next time. Apparently you all orders cease 12-15, after which the model may not again be ordered.
Were you actually able to spec painted A-pillars and skirting? I know they are not in the configurator (many many options are not), but I have the Excel option list from FNA and those are not listed anywhere on it as far as I remember, so I assume outside of Atelier or TaylorMade they were off limit.
Yes - apparently it is a new option. Ditto w/painting the bottom black "plastic" skirting. BUT...try on $12K for the A-pillars and $15K for the bottom skirting. Practically speaking - and irrespective of the financial capabilities of the target audience buying these playthings, that's a tad usurious to a Scot like me. More so - it actually gives you more flexibility to have at least the A-pillars wrapped (which is what I have planned). If you grow tired and want it to match the body color in a couple years - then just peel it off. As for the skirting and it being plastic, I am not quite sure if plastic can be wrapped. But I have a great guy who does my cars, so I am asking him. In fact - I liked the black on the A-pillars so much that I am wrapping the A-pillars on my new Porsche convertible as well. When you have a black roof on a convertible...I think it offers a beautiful demarcation point for transitioning from the body color to the black top. I uploaded the look that the deal sent to me from when we did my configuration last week. It's subtle, but beautiful in my opinion.
This might help you. I have Celeste Met on my 296 GTS and paired it with Cuoio Toscano leather. Both colours are fairly close to the ones you had chosen. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Here is a Portofino M in Celeste with Bianco leather with contrast Nero piping for comparison that my dealer put together as a showroom display car last year. It had a Nero contrast roof and looked great. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I agree that black is too boring. Grigio Chiaro would look striking with the Celeste Trevi. That exterior color was on display at our dealership and I thought it was beautiful, but for the extra $12k it should be!
I hope you are correct. Would be great to have the Spider in CA for the summer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Well, your dealership should give you a good timeframe by now as ours think it's by June for the first shipments. Certainly, it all depends on the status of the build's progress since that's more telling.
That’s pretty much in line with what I was told. Give or take a few month either way, lol. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
