I've googled this question and still cannot find an answer -- is there a roof rack system that will work on the FF? (And kindly spare me the flaming about the sacrilegiousness of a roof rack on an FF, because if I bought one, it's exactly what I'd want on it.)

I live in a beach town, where my neighbors drive utility and economy cars, where folks praise the dude who just dropped his kids at school in his new Nissan Leaf, and I'm pretty sure I'm the silent victim of some sneers and comments when I tool around in my 612 (on the flip side, I know some folks around here who consider occasional sightings of my car driving past as akin to very alluring car porn). Buying a Ferrari was a gut-wrenching decision because it was a dream car experience that I wasn't willing to forego because it didn't fit into the community -- it's my car, I concluded, so piss off if it makes you righteously indignant.

When I described my incredible driving experience in the FF, and my admiration for its functionality, a friend of mine who knows my beach town conundrum (because he lives in his own little granola-ville in Mill Valley) recently suggested that if I wanted to purchase one, find a good roof rack to put on it that would serve to transport the family surfboards to the beach while downplaying the exotic nature of the car.

So there you have it. Anyone know of a roof rack option, or would I have to get something custom made?

I can't help, but I think that is awesome!
A guy I know had a receiver hitch on his Countach so he could run errands to the lumber store!!

Soft racks could be an option?

Thanks gents. I'd pay top dollar to see a Countach with a trailer hitch attached. :) As for soft racks, I've got a set but no FF to try them on. :( It's always something!

I'll make a call to my dealer to see if a roof rack system is something that is on the options horizon for the FF.

It would be great with a rack on it. Here's the important detail:

What do you want to carry? Bikes? Surfboard? Canoes? You have options that vary depending on your needs.
