Even the helmet design is similar to the one of his father.
I am sure W.Weber is making plans from now....
Best of luck to the kid!!!I hope he becomes even more famous than his father!!

Out of curiosity, has any son/nephew of a great F1 driver ever become a great himself? I can think of many who have followed the footsteps, but none that really came out of the shadow.

On a side note that color helmet would go fairly well with by bike.

Graham and Damon Hill both won the WDC. Gilles and Jacques Villeneuve would have similarly been father & son WDCs had GV lived.

JV was a wanker who lucked into the best car on the grid in 1997 and then still very nearly lost the title.

I guess JV is holding up a WDC trophy with both hands, but you have both hands free. Who's the wanker? :)

I can't imagine the pressures Little Shumi will have if he decides
to follow in his fathers footsteps, the comparisons and expectations.
On the plus side, what better coach than Michael? Lets see what
    happens 8-10 years from now.

Actually Schumi and Fred are pretty good friends and only live about 12 kilos apart... I know a lot of people here don't like Fred, but the guy is very nice and very approachable.. BTW, I think the reason Michael was not in spain with Mick is two fold, first off no pressure for Mick and secondly to keep it under wraps so the young red baron can drive without the press... Michaels Dad got him to where he is so having Rolf help Mick is probably a very good thing! I am sure Michael was keeping tabs... Can you imagine the talk around the dinner table in the Schumacher home? Hey Dad, I kicked butt, ended up in 8th, etc. Michael says me too, my bike was just flying!!!

They became friends when, just after Fred dissed Michael?? Is that why MS is against Alonso driving for the Scuderia?? Friends?

And BTW, I am really beginning to like Fred, he got dissed by McLaren, sor of a karmic thingie, but away from the scene, he is supposed to be fun. But not friends with MS.

As for Michael and Fred getting along, I have been told they do.. I am sure you know better than I do, probably play bridge with them but my buddies who know Fred from FA Kart and race his karts say differently... Next time Michael is here in Colorado on vacation riding his harley I will have the guys (Ed D.) at http://www.thetrack.us verify if it's true... Michael has done a little karting there and stops by when he comes through.

Read the article, Schumacher likes Colorado.... He also apparently keeps a place close to you as well....

BTW, this guy is the karting instructor there and buddies with Massa and Ruebens..

You could include Keke Rosberg and Nico also.

I don't think he'll face any pressure because I don't foresee a great career for Mick:

Let's face it, he is already 9 years old and ends up on 8th and 10th. Not really the stuff racing prodigies are made of.

For comparison: His dad was 6 when he won his first kart championship.

With virtually unlimited funding, a few racing tips from dad, and the Schumacher name, I can see him making it to GP2 at the least (plus isn't that what Ralf did ) He won't be a repeat of his father though.
