Scissors doors

I knew it! someone had to do it... sooner or later

if one car deserves to wear scissor doors that must be Gallardo

I have been waiting to see that too. Looks natural, but, as with all aftermarket kits, the opening seems a tad small.

i don't think you get a "true" scissor door

don't you have to actually open the door normally to start off, and then arc it up ?

 

Looks much better to me, Lamborghini spells scissor doors to me atleast!...

 

That is correct. They have more of an outward swing that straight up lock. I think the kits seem pretty flimsy in my opinion. It also doesnt fit with the body of the Gallardo, imo.

 

Doesn't look good on the Gallardo, since its so short. I dont like it..... :/

i just looked at a pic of a diablo, and with the door up, you can see the whole pass. side window even

 

That looks like a b!tch to get in and out of... Doesn't look right in my opinion.

 

I also noticed that the doors of the Gallardo are much more wide and bulky unlike the Diablo...

 

why do people insist on this? if the glam of scissor doors is what appeals as part of a car buy one WITH them. i'm yet to see a SINGLE example of aftermarket doors that looked or operated even 1/10th as good as what's OEM on 12cyl Lambos.

I think scissor doors might look better on the gallardo roadster.

 

I believe the Gallardo looks fine the way it is. Lambo doors look ugly and are just plain stupid on any other car besides a lamborghini with the doors. I can't stand it when you see all those moron civic owners with the lambo doors on there cars. That was such a great trademark for lambo until the custom car world butchered it. Now anyone can have lambo doors on there P.O.S

 

Looks bad, dosen't go with the wedgy shape of the car at all.

 

I love the way it looks, with scissor doors, I really like it in black. Its seems to be natural swinging upward.

People...step away from the rap star mods and do not bastardize your $200,000 cars.

If you want to do this conversion, you may want to start shopping for spinners.

 

On Unique whips last night, they made a special scissor door setup for an SL55, some Boxer in Jersey.....kind of cheapens them when not on Lambos,
Get a Murci if you want doors for christ sake!
I also saw them on a Honda Crx........What is the world coming to.
