I am wondering if any of the lucky few on this board who currently have or will soon have a Scuderia will be retrofitting their cars with products to further reduce the car's weight?

Several options have been mentioned on this board, especially in regards to Stradale weight savings.

I'm just wondering if those who own and seriously drive their cars for lap times really think its worth it to further augment their cars without going too far out of the OEM range.

Some examples of what im talking about include:

    1. A carbon fiber front winglet (the F430 has a very heavy one, and Tubi has a lighter replacement) Does the Scud's front winglet have the ability to come off this easily? And if so, is there a carbon product out there that currently fits the Scud's new front bumper? Or is this made of CF now on the Scud?

    2. A lighter more powerful battery. The Odyssey has been discussed before in installing in a few Stradales and offers a significant weight savings.

Any other weight-saving products that anyone else knows of? (besides new wheels, thats a given)

Thanks in advance for any input!

I doubt too many will want to reduce the value in the car by adding aftermarket bits to it.

yes, but I am specifically wondering about items that can simply be taken off and replaced with the OEM unit once the car is ready to be sold.

I might try and reduce the weight of myself by a little. Maybe a kg or 2, or maybe even 3. Seems to me to be the cheapest way for me to reduce the wieght of my scuderia;)

Same. Avoid racing suites with a stripe on the side. Becomes very unflattering as the suit shrinks...

Racesuit? I'll be driving naked. :D

Trackdays shouldn't be so serious that you're worried about shaving tenths off your time. It's only a bit of fun.

Better still...never fill the tank more than half. Saving at least 40kgs!
