    +10 don't buy these they will make your car look cheap up close. If you don't want to spend the money for the real or replica sheilds just get the resin ones off of ebay they look good for awhile but they will need to be replaced occasionally.

    Those seem to be just 'stickers' on magnetic sheet :(.....

    You can buy the plastic shields for $10 to $14 each from many sources. Some sources are sticking them to a magnetic sheet, and trimming them out and selling them for the outrageous prices seen on Ebay.

    They look fine from 10 to 15 feet away. Closer and it is obvious they are not the real dea.

    Can anyone tell me what the relevance of these are out of interest ? I've seen them on some cars but not others ? Did they come as standard on some 348's or are they all aftermarket ?

    They have traditionally only been found on factory raced cars. The first "road" car (I think) to have OE ones was the 288. The 348 competzione had them, late 355's had them as an option. Starting with the 360 (basically 1999), it became a factory option to have recessed fenders and mounted metal shields.

    It's probably burned out by now but he just hasn't realized it yet becuase it's been awhile since it was driven.
