I need a cellphone that is only a phone. No cameras, games, email, mp3 player, none of those useless extras. Address book and ringtones are fine. Do they still make phones that are this simple? And Would it even be worth it? I know they make most of their money off of the service and not the actual phone itself so should I even bother with this? Thanks Merry Christmas
Good luck. I finally gave up the search after a long time of using an older nokia and bought the Imate SP5. Looks like a real phone, will do everything including your laundry. Quad-band is the real key. --Dan
Maybe an Nokia 8800 or the old 8850 ? Both metal not that plastic crap. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
A "dumb" phone that I issue out to our users is the Samsung SCH-A630. Simple flip phone, not even an IR port to transfer numbers over. Verizon is the carrier.
I use a Nokia 6108 in China. Only "feature" it has is a pad on the inside that you can write Chinese characters on for the dictionary feature. Great phone. I'm not a big fan of the Blackberry I have for the USA.
If you can find one I highly recommend the Nokia 2650, but looks like the US version is the 2651: http://www.nokiausa.com/phones/2651/ Small, simple, cost me $80, and best of all it has a 13 day battery time between charges.
******** Nokia is full of themselves! "The Vivacity of life?" I've got an i830 that I pretty well like. Small, metal, chicks dig it. I only wish it were bluetooth enabled Image Unavailable, Please Login
I got the 8800 as it was out, and never looked back. I don't care as well about all the techi-crap i'll never use anyway.
