Would there be any issues with driving a new Ferrari into Slovenia for a few days?

I'm mostly wondering about the risk of theft.

I was in Slovenia 2 weeks ago for a week. Saw a nice 355 in Isola and a black Murcielago roadster playing with a white 430 Spider in Portoroz. I would say no security issues whatsoever and there are some great well surfaced driving roads in the mountains. Should you need further tempting I have my photos from the trip on line. Some of the most amazing scenery in Europe and all within 1 hours drive of the capital.

Thanks! We were thinking of avoiding the big cities (city?) and we saw some pictures of the Kamnik area which looked very beautiful.

The places you can't miss are Bled - the church in the middle of the lake which is right off the highway coming from Austria through the Karawanken tunnel. This is a 5 mile long tunnel... need I say more :) :)

It's difficult to miss the capital the highway around it isn't finished yet but it's only 0.5 M people - not exactly huge.

Lokarska valley - the picture below says it all

Wow, what a beautiful place! I found a neat hotel there, as well:

But, I don't know that it will work with our itinerary, sadly. Maybe next time!

Ferrari needs to photograph the California on that road......I could imagine how pretty of a wallpaper that would make

We were there in April / May and a lot of the trees were still without foliage - especially higher up in the mountains. Early March will most likely be less green than in the pics. Oh, and the ring road around the capital Lubljana is finished.

Also I think they changed to a system like in Austria where you nedd to buy a vignette that you stick on the inside of the windshield in order to be allowed to use the motorways.

It's true about the vignette. And about the theft, don't worry there's quite low theft rate.

Yup, had to buy a vignette. Didn't spend much time there, where else are you heading? Driving along the Croatian coast is absolutely gorgeous and theres a lot to see on the way.

Wonderful country - I have spent a lot of time there for both work and pleasure. Never went there in my 328, but have motorcycled the length and bredth of Slovenia.

Nice place...and the Cabernet Sauvignon by "Movia" is a must for any visitor!

    Cheers, MARK
