Just starting to strip my Dino to do a bare metal repaint and am trying to decide what to do about the factory seams. Smooth them out so as to not be seen when painted or leave as found?
Just how perfect is the body from the factory? How about gaps and door fit?

My car a 1972 US delivery has electric rear view side mirrors and they are UGLY. Was this a factory option? See a picture here: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=180964
    I'm inclined to remove them.

It most certainly was NOT a factory option.

I am not sure the word ugly describes those mirrors adequately; perhaps "hideous" would be a better qualifier.:)

I don't care if they were something "official" -- you have our permission to replace them ;)

Seriously, with the chrome window trim, a small (round) chrome design would look more period correct to me -- JMO...
