Personally, wouldn't mind it at all. It's better than cheap petrol but rediculously high import duty for cars.
For your information, there are some people going to Bira International Racing Circuit this Saturday, they are meeting at the Motorway Starbucks, hence arrival at the circuit should be about noon. No, this track day is not an official FCT event. Yes, I'll be there to witness OTHERS taking their cars to the limit.
Pity, having to miss this one out again, flying off tomorrow. Have fun then to all you who are participating.
Envy you guys over there in Thailand. There are hardly too many routes here in HK that can go for a serious sprint. One alternative is to travel across the border to Zhuhai where it would requires some advance arrangements.
Air pollution here is so bad that sometimes the whole city could be entirely covered by heavy smog for days. Thank goodness I am out of town most of the time, hehee.
So sorry for myself that I am not in Thailand, but To all friends ---- Have fun Oh! please post the pics on that day after your guys are back. Ong
Can I bring my other cars to drive this SAT??? My 512TR is not in the condition to take to the track krub. The new brake pads are not bedding in properly yet. I am still trying to free myself from work...ha ha ... It seems that nobody wants to stand in for me this SAT.
Forget about bringing your car tomorrow to Bira, better have it ready to meet us at our dinner next Saturday 18th at Spring. However, do come by to see others take their Impreza/Evo/etc around Bira.
Hello everyone, how goes it? It seems there are lots of good activities up there in BKK. I envy you all. It is quite exciting to see the year winding down nicely, with the FCT, the function, Sprint, etc. I think 2005 should be an exciting year for the FCT folks especially in the hands of K. Moung. Congrats and Thanks K. Moung. A little update on Ferrari activity down here. Well, really there is no activity except K. Kovich from Ferma who has been down here fixing K. Chana's 512TR, which is now in really excellent form. We went out for a spin last night zipping up and down from Phuket town to the airport. My blood was boiling to the point where I had no choice to call K. Moung for an assistance to ship my 348 down here. Thank you K. Moung. I believe it should be shipped by next Tuesday or Wednesday. For those planning to come down to Phuket this time of the year, please let me know if you need a place to stay or a ride from the airport or any other extra activity... Well, that's all for now and I hope everyone enjoys the FCT function. It should be a great one. FYI, anyone interested in meeting up at 70s Bar on December 25 at Lansuarn? I will be there with the usual suspects... Also: http://www.radianznetwork.com/images/party2005.jpg
Thank you, P.Moong and K.Koe (350Z) and his dad (RUF!!!) along with K.Bob and Mr. Robert...and can't forget P'Tippy...for letting us excercise my GTR a little at Bira curcuit krub... It has been about a year since I drove that car in any curcuit at all...wish I had it prepared. All in all, it was a fun few hours krub. The track was ours to enjoy... wonderful weather, great cars, and good company. What more could you have asked for... By the way, 550 really sound rather good passing the start/finish line krub....
Only got a few pics krub.... Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Looks like you guys had fun, just got back from HK today. Looking forward to this Saturday. See you guys.
With custom exhaust (Top Secret, a famous Japanese brand) made of Titanium, that 350Z also produce a sweet sound. My GTR was no match for the Elise after the 100R corner krub. I was behind it when it went through S1 and S2...geezzz...it's very nimble. Our boss's 550 was the high light of the day...ha ha ha. With the sound bouncing off the pit wall, it sounded so good, P'Moong had to have someone else drove it so he could hear it too... I wish I had more time there krub. Driving on track was the thing I enjoy a lot, no matter what car it is.
Hi Patpong...I see your uncle was out in his Carrera GT recently. http://www.supercarfrance.com/Supercar-Rally04-MC1.htm Cheers Simon
Thank you Simon, With all the bugs at the nose of his Carrera GTcar, we can said he got a lot of fun. Now the man got a plan to bring in the new Ford GT to Thailand. Do not know what will that cost him.... He love Swiss so much if only he got a beautyful swiss girl there, I would probably never see my uncle again...
Yes, very rude of me not to thank those nice people we've met at Bira last Saturday. Thank you very much krub K.พ่อ, K.Moong, K.Tippy, K.Koe, K.Bob, and Mr. Robert. It was a joy meeting you all. K.Koe's Z really sings! I wish the Mini could have stayed. Hope to see you all again tomorrow though.
Yes, it's still on for this coming Sunday. We are supposed to be going to Pataya for lunch, destination will be known later today when Jimmy returned from a survey of the area. If any of you Sprinters got recommendations, please don't hesitate to mention. Oh, I guess for now we'll just meet at 10:30AM at the same place as always, being Cafe Classic in Ekamai.
