I have seen 3 at the Monterey Concorse in '05. It look pretty cool in person, however the interior did appear to be a bit small.

Probably trying to use the Lambo section to hype their car. Just checked Ebay, Lamborghini cars. and the first car listed is a BMW??

I have seen one in person and was not at all impressed.... like a Saleen with a bad body kit in my opinion.

A bit kit carish. I'd also like to see a real magazine test verify performance claims.

We were going to be a dealer a few years back, but nothing ever materialized. The engine and exhaust system is done very nice and the interior actually has more room inside than just about any other exotic. But, as Jim stated, it would be nice to see an magazine get the clock on it and get some actual performance numbers.

If their web site is to be believed they are going for it on March 21. They're trying to beat the Veryons 253. Should be interesting...

Its nice to see that someone of your knowledge car wise is giving these guys an honest chance, to many people highly criticise cars thay take a dislike to, for instance many still attack the Veyron. Personally as a car guy i cant understand this negative attitude many display.
I wonder if they achieve a higher top speed than the Veyron if they will sell a few?

This is a serious effort and the build quality is high. The interior did seem kit carish to me but it was roomy and the visability was good. The Tires IMO will be fine and are the same ones we use on P 4/5 and very similar to the Veryon's except that they aren't runflat.

IMO the fact that you have to stop the Veryon, and go into high speed mode and can't brake or turn the wheel more than 15% means that the 253 isn't really apples to apples with the Konenisberg which can go 245 without these restrictions.

In the real world I'm not sure that any of this matters.

As for staying together this car will stay together. The problem I see is down-force. On the Veryon, Enzo/ P 4/5 down-force is cranked out at high speed to allow VAX to be reached. I'm not sure this car has active aero so the HP needed to go 250+ is MASSIVE.

The Audi Le Mans cars top out at 185 BUT they make MASSIVE down-force and can go through the turns at unbelievable speeds which in the end is what gets the job done. Down-force, Brakes and the HP to overcome the drag high down-force causes is what modern race cars are about. On the street IMO this is what you want as well.

exterior actually looks pretty good, not an overly terrible design. i really dig the front with exception to the exposed hood w/ springs?

interior is a travesty, but i suppose if you don't mind the kit-car look it's all you!

Ok why is this put in the Lambo section?.

Its like I like the car in all but the engine powerplant was a major turn off for me.

Why can't any American Supercar manufacture use there own engine design rather than a f**king corvette engine!?. Its happened with Vector, Mosler, and countless others and now its SSC. I would have went head over heels for this car had it been powered by an in house built V-12 that made 1000hp that they designed.

But what I can expect from a bunch of former Lamborghini replica builders?. Thats pretty much what this car is, a Lambo replica on steriods. Its an inovative design though I wouldn't mind owning one if the price is right an iam not paying 600k for a kitcar turnkey. All in all Iam pushing for it to beat the veyrons topspeed. If it doesn't then it will be the biggest hype job in kitcar history.

SSC=kitcar with an identity crisis. bottom line.

I'd be interested to hear what you consider a real magazine in terms of unbiased, truthful reporting of road tests...
