Everything seemed to be going fine, but tonight when I tried to start 'er up, the engine just turned but she would not fire. After some thought on it, I realized that the fuel pump did not seem to be engaging. I checked, and there is power being sent to the relay, and the relay is working. What is consensus- fuel pump or wiring to the pump?

Having still not found a shop manual for the 2V, if anyone has any diagrams or direction to another thread to help me through this, it would be appreciated. My search on this forum came back with a ton of threads, and I gave up when I could not find one relevant.

Try a search on "safety switch relay fuel pump" -- should get you 26 threads on the topic of how to test things related to fuel pump operation on a K-Jet (308i-2V, 308QV, and 328 are all very similar in this regard).

Thanks for the help. I checked relays, grounds, you name it. Then I wiggled fuse #3, and wouldn't you know the fuel pump ran the next time that I put the key into the 'on' position... and my baby fired right up.

...going to get Birdman's fuse block now (hey, it was already on the list!)
