Stereoscopic pics

messing around with the digital camera tonight, decided to do some old fashioned 3D photos. stereo pics are nothing new, over a century old actually. any way for those new to it, view the pic by crossing your eyes until a pic comes into focus in the center of the outer 2 with a 3D effect. a distance of about 24~30" from the monitor is about where these are best.

yeah, it's about 2.5~3" perspective. the camera needs a stable mount or surface to work off, otherwise the pics won't line up to well and make it harder for your brain to re-focus. takes some perfecting, I think i went through about 100 pics to get these.

I think this would be neat to do for a car show, thinking of getting a stereo camera or setting up twins to shutter at the same instant, then you could capture movement!
