What is it about the UK group, that we now have this long list of stickies?

It's not as though they are all interesting, in fact most of them are downright boring with not a lot of views and replies.

None else has mentioned this - am I the only one who finds this tedious? What's the Fchat policy on stickies?

    Badge.

I can see why it is a good idea making the driveout and event threads sticky, and unstickying them when the event has passed. Because this is one of the heaviestly used forums, post tend to disappear southwards rather quickly.

Not sure why the "Ferraris seen on the road" thread has been made sticky; nothing be learnt, no discussion, no opportunity for me to offer a good natured flaming to my peergroup. Can't see the appeal myself, but, hey, maybe that's just me!

BTW, Tony, just wanted to say you are doing a TOP job as our moderator. Rob did a good job in selecting you, and we did a good job in voting for you. Viva el Presidente!!!

All the stickies, bar the "Ferrari seen" one are there because i've been asked to put them there. They all relate to upcoming events and are taken off when the event has passed. I shall remove offending sticky forthwith.
Cheers Stig, i was feeling unloved ;-)

    Rosso,

Sorry but I cannot see the problem with stickys, if it`s information about events it needs to be found quickly.

Best place for this is the top of the board not down on page five, where it gets lost, (IMO).

@ Steve f, do you need me to give you a quick course in map reading, all stickys in the South ?? Have they moved Bolton, Lichfield, and Stanford Hall (LOL).

Tony, your doing a fine job, (ps you can pay me later).

    Phil.

    Hi Steve,

Yes I will be at Stanford, there will be a few of us from the Midlands at this show. So you can come and stand with us and we can keep those footballers away from you. (LOL).

    haha!
No offence taken, Badge or Stevef.
Steve, I must confess, i've bitten a few times at that famous "northern" wit of yours. You strike me as a man in the Geoff Boycott Yorkshire mould of " I say what i like and like what i bloody well say ".
If only Fchat were picking up the tab for my Disney trip...... ;-(

    Steve,

Can't see why Tony needs a holiday. He spends all his time on Fchat, so clearly doing some work would constitute a change, and as we all know, a chage is as good as a rest! LOL!

Stig, I didn't realise the thread was sticky, I guessed it was still there after all this time because people took the time to see who is out and about in their cars (10,000 and rising). Besides, does something have to be learnt, discussed or give you an opportunity to shoot it down before it gets on?

I thought the same, when I posted the thread regarding the "Scottish autoitalia" it soon disappeared, personally i thought if knowone replies then there is no point in it being a "Sticky"
P.S. it was Sunday passed and was a great day and great Ferrari turnout.Though one "F-Chatter" said they were coming and did not pitch up or even tell me they were not attending(who I waited for at home)

If you want somthing made sticky, ask Tony.

This is a very busy board, and even relevant threads can disappear so quickly that the group you are aiming at never see the thread in question.

Stig,it was not a criticism, just the way I saw it.Dont think there a to many F-Chatters in Scotland and the ones I am aware of knew of the event. After checking my photos it worked out that we had 12 Ferraris there broken down as follows.
    3x 355s all F1s but a spider a Berlinetta and a GTS(mine)
    2x 348 TBs
    1x 575m
    3x 328s 2x GTS
    2x 360s
    1x 308 GT 4
3x Lambos also attended 2x Diablos 1 Countach.

I popped along very briefly and took a few photos, I have a nice one of your car Dave, if you'd like it (it's too large to post but I'll PM you a link).

Was a lovely day, shame I couldn't have stayed longer.
