Hi I am new to this section but thought I might benefit from the collective experience of this group. It is looking quite likely that work may relocate me to NYC at the end of the summer. As this may be a move of some permanence, I would like bring two of my cars with me. As they are 34 and 36 years old, respectively, importation into the U.S. should be possible. While keeping them in Manhattan will be impossible, does anyone have any suggestions for long term secure parking / storage within an hour of the city? I currently use my storage space to occasionally tinker on them; I am not sure what the view of most storage facilities are on that.
I would suggest Collectors Car Garage in Bedford Hills. An incredible facility. Well worth checking out. Many Ferraris being stored there. Within an hour of the city.
Many thanks. I will be back in NYC shortly and will make an appointment to check it out. Amazing place, from the photos on their site, my stuff would be at the lower end of their spectrum.
Definitely worth the trip if only to see the inventory of incredible cars parked there. There is a section of the garage dedicated to F40s, F50s and Enzos parked in a row. Very cool.
I live just under an hour out of NYC in north nj. I have a 6,000 sqft garage that I rent space out from time to time. I currently have 16 personal Cars in my collection there. Heated and ac , fully functional garage with a lift etc. If you need some temporary space let me know and you can come see the place. This is my personal garage not a auto shop.
