Stupid Jaguar

This Jaguar team is really pissing me off with their completely stupid publicity stunts and lack of focus on the racing ... and too much focus on the wining and dining.

Both Webber and Klien had $250,000 diamonds glued to nose cones of their cars for the Monaco race. Naturally Klien's did not return after he stuffed the nose into the armco (if you are in Monaco and reading this, get off your arse and get down to that corner and find that diamond!).

How fncken stupid are those idiots?, the most car damaging race track in the world and they stick an expensive diamond on the most likely part of the car to get smashed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For Gods sake Ford get them to focus on RACING!.

Yeah the commentators mentioned something about the Jaguar team and the promotion for the upcoming movie, Ocean's 12. So it was all just a publicity thing.

Shame, would've liked to have seen how Webber ranked had his car not died.

 

Hey i've got an idea. let's put a hunk of glass on the front of the car, tell everyone it's a diamond, insure it for say three million. run the car into the wall and have the " diamond" get "lost" and collect the cash. hhmm??

 

Haha, I thought it was a rediculous idea also.

I wonder if the diamond was quietly 'retrieved' by one of the race marshals.

Little birdy told me it was actually to be part of the movie, a plot point about the car speeding away into the hills for a get away scene. The way it was told to me sounded like they would have had to do a little work on editing out the ocean's twelve text or that they actually shot alternate angles of the cars so as not to see it. My french is really slipping so maybe I did not translate it properly in my head.

 

It wouldn't surprise me a bit, even if it turns out he crashed on purpose. Hey, it's all justifiable in the name of money, right?
