not sure if this is the right place to ask but didn’t find a better section

Composing a long thread and I haven’t posted for a while. I don’t remember how to insert photos in between text as opposed to uploading them at the bottom with the upload file button. the button that I see above the text area only allows you to post a link but I want to post the actual photo uploaded from my phone. Can someone please clarify?

    Cheers

Drag and drop the photo into the text area. Wait a second or two for the image to upload. Put mouse cursor where you want the photo (and push mouse button to put the flashing cursor on the page). Scroll down the page using mouse wheel (or similar) i.e. without disturbing the mouse cursor, until you see the "Full Image" button. Push button.

You may be restricted by image size or file type. JPG's take up less bandwidth. PNG's are clearer, but are slower to load (for you and us)

Also, when making your post if replying to a thread (or if editing a post), select the "MORE OPTIONS..." button in the lower right corner. In that mode, where you put the cursor in the text (before inserting the picture) is where the picture gets inserted.

Can't recall how it works when creating a new thread (it may put the picture where the cursor is located) - but I usually create a sort of rough draft of a new thread (or can't get it perfect without editing ;)) so then do an edit to put the pictures in and fix it (so that edit has the "MORE OPTIONS..." mode available).

Thanks, what about if I’m making a post on my iPhone?

I don't post from my phone so don't know if the "MORE OPTIONS..." button is available or not.

Some website functions are missing when you use a smartphone. I haven't tried it either.
