While topping off the oil in my 360 Spider today, i accidently poured about a half a cup of Mobil 1 into the power stering reservoir. Both caps look similar and it took about 20 milliseconds to realize my mistake when the new fluid didn't flow down. Before starting the engine I quickly drained the entire res with an eydropper, and dabbed the interior of the res completly dry with a new non-shedding absorbant shop shop towel. Affraid to start the Engine with a dry res, I went on a 10 store mission to find the approved power steering fluid Shell "DONAX TA". No luck, it can only be found in Monza or on Mars.

Pushed the car into the garage, and will resume the mission on Monday. I know... I know...Nex time RTFM dufus.
    Flame away.

Bob - you can get the Donax from Foreign Car Italia, either down in Charlotte or up in GSO. If you have any trouble, let me know.

Daniel, where did you get this chart? Are there versions for other models, like the 328?

I aways thought they would be better with rack and pinion anyway, just take out the power assist and you will eliminate this problem.

Jim - Yes, there is info for the other "modern" models (360, 550, 575, 456M, Enzo, 612, etc) but nothing in the 355 or earlier vintage. I have all the 328 TSB's, recalls, and such ... but not a quick-n-handy fluid chart.

Don't beat yourself up...it's not a huge deal...flush the system...get the right fluid...and chalk it up as a learning experience. We have all had our share of them.
