Are we meeting at a time when the race is on TV or is someone bringing a tape? If our F1 expert and local moderator is in, Im almost certain to go. However the weather is not promising to be too nice.

No tape in this case as CBS will air it tape delayed at noon. So if the place has a TV and is willing to air F1, we're all set.

 

What's the address of Gino's East?

I found 633 N Wells St, Chicago. Correct?

I think they mean this one. It would probably be better for parking and its location of that wonderful, never congested toll merge is a good "central" location for all. If this is the place and has good TVs to watch, ( is it Park Ridge? ) Im in.

Any early driver predictions for the race? I hope Minardi scores a point and MS gets the win.

If you are going East on Higgins you will see the Gino's East sign to enter after you pass East River Rd. It's tucked away in the back so you won't be able to see it from the street. It's a stones throw from Hooters so I'm sure you guys will be able to find it.

I just realized, that the Nuerburgring GP will be live on Speed TV. I won't be tape delayed on CBS. So count me out for this Sunday.

I mixed up the Nuerburgring (European) with the Hockenheim (German) GP. The Hockenheim GP will be tape delayed on CBS. Sorry bout that.

 

I guess no body is up for watching the race LIVE @ 7:30 Sunday morning?
I would be up for it if someone wants to hook up. I know it's early but my kid does not let me sleep in the morning anyway so I may as well watch F-1.
F-1 on Speed is better than CBS so I guess if you want the good stuff you have to get up early.

I'll contact you and Skip this afternoon, Im actually going to get the car serviced. Andreas, I have your cell from a previous attempted meet so is there a good time to call? Do you two want to meet up for lunch this weekend regardless of the race? I'll treat Skip to lunch and Andreas can buy him that drink for baby sitting the Swiss Vice Daytona? Since I am in the Northwest burbs and Andreas is a city guy, we can still meet in the same area as Vince mentioned. Maybe get Vince involved too?

We're going for an outdoor dinner at Resi's on Irving park tomorrow. Taking in some good German beer and brats in honor of the Nuerburgring GP.

 

Saturday I will be house hunting. I am not sure if the weather is going to cooperate anyway, ( for cars or real estate. ) If it is pouring rain and I have the urge to go, I will give one of you a call and arrive in the very Ferrari like Durango or Hummer.

I just got back from Lake Forest and the rain clouds did look like they were around the corner. Just in time for the weekend? Terrible.
