I installed new distributer caps, rotors and spark plug wires on my 75 gt4 and for some reason my tach seems to indicate twice the rpm's than it should. I rechecked all my wires and it still persists. My car runs better with the new stuff also. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like (if you have twin distributors) you might have hooked up the tach's brown wire lead to both coils? If you have a wiring diagram you will notice that there is a single brown wire that goes to one coil that drives the tach. Basically the tack thinks its a 4 cyl. The B+ hooks to the red on both and the negative is Black on one coil and Blue and black on the other, that is the post that gets the brown tach wire. Not to sure what else it could be.

I will see if that is the problem. Thankyou very much.
