test days

how come teams are only allowed to run one car during test days?
Is it to try to save money?

I don't think so,
The new (stupid) rules only allow one car.

 

here's a statement from Gasconye = With the engine fire-up date now in the diary, we are also in a position to confirm that we will be on-track for the first time at the third official test at Jerez from 17 February and then at Barcelona from 25 February. We are also aiming to run chassis two for the last two days of that Barcelona test."

(I read somewhere else where there would most likely be two Ferraris at Barcelona also.)

 

I could be wrong (!), but I read that as they'll have two cars there, but I'm pretty sure the rules only allow you to run one at a time (?)

Stupid and counterproductive, definitely.... I wonder if JT will do anything for next season - Surely?.....

I think i read that too,
but i guess it guess like this : they bring chassis 1 and 2
chassis 1 is on track lets say monday, then chassis 2 will run tuesday, but the 2 chassis can't run the same day on the track.
