On "Thoroughbred & Classic Cars" magazine currently at Borders Books, there is a short article on a 91 Testarossa that is for sale in the UK. They start off by saying "1991 Ferrari Testarosa-This Ferrari is one of the most misunderstood Supercars of all time" Yeaaaaa "Supercar"! Dear Ferraristi, +1 ....same here....why misunderstood? ...misunderstood as in "why is the price so low" for a mid engined 12 Cly flagship Ferrari? ....I don't understand that either.....oh, 16,000 360 Modenas....so 7000 TR's isn't so many...right? Shamile Freeze...Miami Vice !
and...i will never understand what happened when the testarossa loses some value, and the dino, which is a fiat, it isnt even badgedferrari and has 190hp lawn mower engine, gains in value. i know...they made less dinos, but that just doesnt cover it. your all hypnotized by a false belief...there was never any truth to propping up the dino. i have a 69 corvette, so i know the era of being very hard driving and uncomfortable. yet my 1990 testarossa feels good, the 12 cylinder feel is like a turbine, you feel the backend push, smooth. i feel i can make these comments for i have had my tr for 10 years. if the dino is worth 135k for an un ferrari replica now, the testarossa should have been 250k based on the truth of tr spec. its a shame people misunderstand it...if you ever get to drive one, you will laugh at the ignorance of it all. its like gold compared to fools gold...really.
