Hello everyone. I prefer to serve all American wines for our most American of all holidays. Thought I'd offer to make suggestions for those interested. Our T-giving tables have so much variety, it doesn't make sense to post blanket recommendations. Some of us have oysters on the table; others lasagna, stuffing ranges from a plain bread to chestnut to sausage. BUT, there are many varietals that will complement your table. This year, I am opening La Reve sparkler from Dom. Carneros. The white is a 2013 Forge Cellars Riesling - Les Allies. I think Oregon Pinot Noir goes great with turkey (and my wife's family's sausage and potato stuffing). This year, I have a single vineyard 2008 from Bethel Heights we'll drink.

Do not know about the others, but I can attest to La Reve. IMO one of the best American "champagnes", right up their with Moet's Etoile. I bought some French reds (no, not Nouveau!) from 2005 and 2010, which seem to be good years for TG. Gotta find some cheap stuff for when we go over to the in-laws! ;) . Happy TG everyone!

Truly American holiday...so the wines are an all-american line-up.
a Riesling from the Finger Lakes...a Pinot Noir from Oregon (Black Magnolia) and one from California (JAX)....have to have a Chardonnay for my wife & mother-in-law..probably a Kistler have not decided yet....
    Happy Thanksgiving to All!

Image Unavailable, Please Login We are at sour families home in Wisconsin. We have a pretty nice wine cellar with wines collected over 30 years. The selection for tonight:

Dai B. Good call on the Kistler. Your wine line-up resembles mine. Steve M. I have a couple of bottles of the Moccagatta but none from the fantastic 1997 vintage. A votre Sante`
