I've had a '5 o'clock' shadow for 14 yeears now, very very rarely i'll shave it into a goatee for a couple of days. I think it looks good and since i'm severley balding I shave my head so basically my whole head is a 5 o'clock shadow.

I'll try and find a pic.

None of my girlfriends have ever complained, actually when it gets a little longer just before I trim it down again the occasional hair will poke thier faces a bit.

I don't shave on weekends. Every 6-12 months I grow a full beard, the wife likes it.

I shave with a razor maybe 3-4 times per year. Usually only if there is a nice, formal type event to go to (wedding, graduation, etc.) Other than that I just use an electric beard trimmer on the closest setting to keep it as short as possible.....maybe about like a 6 or 7 o'clock shadow. My facial hair is really thick, and every time I shave with a razor it hurts like hell and I get bad razor burn.I have tried every imaginable combination of different razors/creams/gels/aftershave/preshave and have it to where it is tolerable, but still is uncomfortable. Anyway, my wife likes it better this way, I am more comfortable, and that's what matters to me.

My significant other is on the scruffier side, which makes him look like Wolverine with glasses. I like the I'm-a-man-hear-me-growl look, but there's a narrow range of length at which they behave like barbed wire...and perfect for tearing up my cheeks!

love the look, but hate it as a make-out repellent.

I like the way the 5 o'clock shadow looks. That being said, it's so much fun to kiss a man who just finished shaving; his face will feel nice and smell nice.

I shave every day (M-F) except on some weekends........I don't like the feel of 5 o'clock shadow, nor the look (and wifey doesn't either)..........and if you wear a suit and tie, having it there eventually wears out the shirt collar faster than normal.

I usually just shave twice a week so that means I am a little scruffy most of the time. I get such terrible razor burn and ingrown hairs on my neck that shaving more often is just miserable.

I shave as often as I can (ideally everyday) - I have a cr@p beard so, it looks better off.

    Dan :)
