I know he's in NASCAR, but what does everyone think about his fine and probation? Would other sanctioning bodies treat such a situation differently? If, for example, JPM got into a fistfight (one of the grid girls could kick his ass) would the FIA sit him for a race or just fine him?

I have no clue who Tony stewart is and I even know lesser about the turn left series. I do know this much, if Juan Pablo Montoya gets into a fist fight during a race he would be fined and recieve a racing ban for a race. But that is the least of his concerns because if that fist fight were to occur while he was wearing a BMW Williams uniform he would probably be fined by the Williams team too along with other disciplinary measures. I do not the Frank Williams would tolerate any nonsense from that idiot.

Juan Pablo Montoya is a maniac and a menace to F1. He will probably end up killing someone (hopefully himself) due to his rash driving. He does not deserve to be in F1. He is a danger to other drivers and people on the race track.

OK..... that takes the cake !!!!!!!!! I am no fan of JPM, never liked him, never will, but for you to say you "hope he kills himself" is the dumbest, most ignorant thing I have ever read on a racing thread.

You've obviously never raced anything (including karts) in your life except maybe PSII and XBOX.

You've proved again and again that you don't belong here and that you are no race fan. I race as a hobby for a freakin $10 trophy and while there are plenty of people I race against that I don't like, I would never wish them harm on the race track.

If you ever have suited up your nomex and competed at anything other than XBOX, wether it be a local SCCA race or the 24 Hours of LeMans any one that ever wished someone else would get killed racing IS A TOTAL SH*THead.

Where the hell do you come off saying you hope a competitor "kills himself" in a race car? It's a g*damn sport for crying out loud NOT WAR. You may not like JPM but if he and the rest of all the people, who don't measure up to MS, didn't race what the hell would you watch for your F1 entertainment...................MS doing laps at Fiorano all day.

You're a total A$$clown in the truest sense. Hopefully Dave is reading this and will apply one of his famous "A$$clown" stickers to your name.

Maybe you ought not take barbs at the "turn left" crowd because you share something in common with them. Namely that you as a Ferrari fan would like nothing better than to see a competitor killed or have a fatal crash.

Just like the Gordon fans cheered when Earnhardt crashed everytime.....until he actually got killed.

Your stupid remarks about "Kamakazie Sato" and "never heard of Tony Stewart" and hoping someone else on another team kills themself shows you are nothing but some over passionate school kid who doesn't understand a thing about REAL RACING.

I've been on Ferrarichat for nearly 4 years and have never used the "IGNORE" feature but SON YOU JUST BECAME THE FIRST IDIOT TO QUALIFY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good thing you weren't around in the 50's and 60's as I can see you cheering in the rafters everytime a non-Ferrari driver got himself killed (a weekly occurence back then).

I been both a spectator and a competitor at the track when someone was killed and I would never "wish" or "hope" anyone would get fatally injured or killed.

You don't qualify as a race fan or a Ferrari fan.

Don't bother responding back with your 5th grade remarks as I won't see them anyway.

Pete: you're not the only one who used his first "ignore" option on this idiot a$$clown!!!!!!!!

    Jon,

in Imperial83's defense, he didn't really say he hopes JPM kills himself, but rather that if somebody has to die because of JPM's aggressive/stupid driving, he hopes that one would be JPM himself. I'd say that is an understandable point.

As you probably know I disagree with Imperial83 and do like Sato's and JPM's aggressive driving style.

    Andreas

PS: Imperial83 with his constant rant actually reminds me of Cato from Latin class, who signed every letter and speech with "Cetero censeo Carthaginem esse delendam" = furthermore I believe Carthage ought to be destroyed, as he had a bone to pick with them. Almost like a repeating joke.

Well said, Flatoutracing. Imperial 83's voiced wish for JPM to be killed is incomprehensible to me. I've raced since 1975 and have never in my life heard a racer say anything so profoundly stupid. If this guy's ever been on a "lapping day" I'd be amazed. I've only been on this board for a month or so, but there are some incredibly moronic things said here.

And Andreas, your Clintonesque defense of his statement is appalling. There is no defending what he said.

    Erik & Andreas,

I took it to mean that he "hopes" JPM kills himself. I guess you can interptet it differently but that is how I took it. Regardless his remarks don't hit me as being educated at all.

I don't like JPM, but I am not going to sit here and say he has no talent, is a terrible racer, and doesn't belong in F1 bcause I happen to be a Ferrari fan or Schumacher fan.

If we are to believe "Imperials" ludicrous statements, the FIA, Mr. Mosley, Mr. Ecclestone and the entire governing organization of open wheel racing somehow missed that Juan is a dangerous driver and has nearly killed people everytime he gets into a race car.

That's beyond a stupid statement. FIA Superlicenses aren't handed out in cereal boxes they are granted after careful review by the governering organization and this can be protested by the drivers committie among many other voices.

I don't like JPM as a person and I never really thought he would make it big in F1 because of his temper. I also don't in some instances like his driving style (he's a bully) but.............

....I would look like an idiot to sit here and say he doesn't have world class talent and is a candidate for a world champion some day.

In most forms of racing from karts, SCCA, FIA, to F1 if you really are a danger to yourself and others you will be protested by your competitors and asked to leave. To my knowledge no one in F1 has said that JPM should be removed from F1 and have his license revoked. Imperial seems to think he is more of an authority on JPM's driving style than the FIA and the F1 drivers association. Maybe he should send the FIA a letter to let them in on his insight.

Imperials statements are beyond dumb. It borders on the NASCAR crowd who start arguing over a Ford being better than a Chevy.

Imperial needs to grow up !

    Jon

Very good point. Actually I believe MS is the chairman of the GP Drivers safety committee, so he'd be the first to call on JPM's dangerous driving style.

Furthermore the FIA would step in quickly if they see reckless driving. They cited Senna to Paris after he knocked off Prost in Suzuka.

BTW: Can anybody name a racing accident in which a driver got killed by the doings of another driver, who acted reckless? Not a popquiz, I'm really wondering. Mass in Zolder (Gilles) and Patrese in Monza (Peterson) come to my mind, although it is very debatable whether those were reckless driving incidents. Mass and Patrese were cleared. So I'd say it happens very very rarely.

Why anyone would hope that someone dies or that there is a fatal accident is beyond me.

I am not going to sit here and justify my words but I will say this much. If JPM were to cause an accident due to his rash driving I would hope that NO ONE ELSE would die or be injured.
