help, i gave up trying to get my tpms system to work, got new sensors from discount tire, they could not get them to calibrate, took the car to ferrari, they could not get them to calibrate.
i would like to disable the warning light on the dash however the fuse for the tpms is the same one for the drivers seat, any suggestions????? the car is an early 2002 575.
    thanks

You disable the system using an SD tool. Unless you have one laying around you need to go back to the Ferrari dealer or an independent who has one to turn it off. It surprises me the dealer did not offer to turn off the system while you were there and they could not get it to work. I hope they at least offered.

Possiable you got the wrong TPMS sensors, or the ecu is bad. There really should be no reason to shut it off.

I have mine turned off because I was tired of seeing that warning signal all the time where the time should be. My tires are in great shape, and do not want to replace the sensors until the the tires need to be replaced. I have seen too many beads damaged removing tires to want to mess with it. Until that time comes, I had the sensors disabled. Took 2 seconds and did not cost a dime.

Fou and Rocky ... According to Ferrari dealer in Sydney cannot remove the error message with an SD2 or 3 for an early (2002)car. Can be removed for a 2004 car however mechanic was unsure when the changeover happened. The message hides the time and ext. temp as well which was a pain.

I replaced my sensors and wrote it up on the '575 in Australia' thread. This was the first car I got with TPMS. I must admit that I do appreciate it now that it has been working correctly for 6 months.

You’d have to ask the installer whether there is a warranty. I’d suspect if a dealer or reputable shop did the work they would warranty a TPMS sensor. It’s almost a consumable at this point.

The one who replace the TPMS sensors ask me if I had taken it to a Ferrari dealer and the nearest one is 125 Mi away I had two tire shops tell me the sensors are dead they have a device that can test them and see if there's a signal being output I've read up on the technology I get technical trade journals every month I'm a retired mechanic
