I changed all the fluids in my 365 including the manual trans two months ago. I used Redline MTL 90, which, if I compare specs should be fine and comparable to the Shell HD 90 in the book. The thing is, now I am getting a good bit more bearing rattle in the transmission at idle, in neutral, with the clutch engaged. There was some slight rattle prior, but it is more pronounced now. The transmission was gone through 7000 miles ago with new bearings and seals.

Any opinion on this? I would not think the MTL would make any adverse difference.

I suggest you contact RedLine Tech Service. They are pretty good.

I use the MTL 90 in my Lotus Elan +2. That oil has solved a lot of shifting problems with older English gearboxes. It works the synchros really well. I am not sure it is the right gear oil for your 365. They have alternates.

If the sound is different when the clutch is engaged vs. disengaged, it sounds like it could be your throw out bearing.
