. . . . .refusing to apologize to Jarno Trulli, BAR Honda may punish him by dropping him from the Chinese GP. Anthony Davidson is on stand-by for the weekend.

Let Davidson drive in China. They have nothing to lose.....Williams are too far ahead and I don't think Red Bull are going to catch them in the WCC.

    Interesting.

I wish I'd get a glimpse of the Japanese media report about the incident. A Japanese driving a Honda and taking a Toyota out must have caused a stir.

i remember reading somewhere (i could be wrong) that he started out his racing career at the age of 18. (before which he had no experience).

thats probablly the reason he keeps getting to these little shunts .... and whats with not apologizing ?!?!? it was your fault ..... apologize and get it over with.

Residing in a public that is screaming for his continued support and the company that wants(and needs) to distance itself from him as a much as possible.

NOW THEY WILL SLEEP IN IT!!!!

Honda are stuck... they cannot fire Sato because sales of the Econo boxes and t-shirts will drop in Japan. On the other hand... they now realise that Sato is an absolute Retard that is destroying their international image. The only solution is to support a Honda powered "B" team... a price tag of $250 million per year!

Do you expect a RETARD to be apologetic... If you go to a mental hospital and ask a retarded person to apologize for being stupid, do you really think their response will be apologetic. Honda have groomed an absolute MAD MAN... made him a God amaongst Japanese racing fans... now have the courage to deal with it!

Give Davidson the ride, it'll save them the cost of rebuilding another car and the penaltly that'll ensue.

Aha! Put Rubens in the Honda, Massa in the Ferrari, and Sato in the other Sauber with Villeneuve.

That way, the Sauber team can go out with a couple of big bangs. ;)

(And Honda can reduce the assets to be taken over by BMW by two cars.)

With luck, Sato and Villeneuve will shunt each other off. Which is the way Jag ended their F1 involvement last year.
Maybe it can start a new tradition in F1 -- like smashing your guitar at the end of the concert. :p

All these new tracks must be hard on the F1 veterans: I mean, watching all the old tracks, DeCaesaris can look at each corner and say, "I crashed there in 19xx". :D

Well, I guess this means "Welcome to the future of F1". Honda doesn't have the ballsack to re-assign Sato to the assembly line, and he knows it. For whatever reason they seem to think that canning his sorry a$$ will result in the downfall of the entire car company. Yet they forget that all they need to do is promote the next future Japanese star of F1 and Sato is old news. As long as Honda slaps its logo and financial might on a Japanese driver, the guy will be a god over there. Thank god other countries aren't held hostage by their populace like this.

    Whoa Nellie ...

Please don't go there - imagine garden variety Accords suddenly going berserk and banging into something. CAn you say unintended acceleration :)

He should be in F3 - he can do the least damage there

Well, all is moot - he's back for the final GP - should prove to be interesting!

"I am absolutely determined to have a strong race in my final grand prix for B.A.R Honda,” the Japanese driver said. “Shanghai is an extremely impressive circuit in terms of the facilities and challenging track layout. Last year I had a good race from the back of the grid, and there are a number of good overtaking opportunities at this circuit.
