Blick is writing him off and out of BMW. They're sure Heidfeld (who has an 07 contract) and Kubica will be the next team.

Where will Villeneuve go? Into retirement or find a seat?

Actually I really feel Villeneuve has improved a lot this year. He has done enough to deserve his seat. Quick Nick needs to do more.

Back to either CART or IRL, as they both have higher morals.

Stay at BMW or replace Trulli at Toyota.

Did they say he's off the team entirely or could he still be a test driver?

It is all speculation at this moment, but despite his good results this year, there is only one seat available (Nick is a given with his contract) and the team is really hot about Kubica.
Blick speculates that Villeneuve will simply retire.

PS: JT, funny avatar you got there. Valet parking for the Rascasse restaurant. :)

I'd LOVE to see that. He is at least as good as Massa.

    Who is Blick?

I've heard possibilities of Red Bull or Toyota for him. I just hope he can land a competitive seat.

He has said that he would not return to CART.

Wow How Short is your memory?

Not too many years ago it was MS who was crashing into JV trying to keep him from winning the championship...

Unfortunately, to his guitars and video games. He won't find a seat in this game of musical chairs.

He doesn't NEED to, but the hunger usually lingers, he will do something as long as he feels he can. I just don't know how you get motivated once you have won it all while being on the best team, now that he sees nothing in front of him but rear wings pulling away.

Gotta be frustrating....... or disheartening to say the least..

villeneuve got really hosed by joining BAR and he's never had a good ride since. too bad, really. i think he could've won another championship. he's a damn good driver. i'd like to see him stay in the sport, but i don't think he'll be around beyond this season or next.

He never even said anything about MS being a better person.

Why are you all over his case?

I actually like and look forward to his comments when questioned on Speed Channel ,for example.
If he can liven it up a bit he'd make a good announcer.
I saw the vast improvements that Troy Aikman has made in this career, I'm sure JV is capable.

How about replacing RALF at Toyota? For what they're paying him, Jacques would be a bargain at half that.

I agree one of the best driver interviews on a regular basis.

I must admit I thought JV was a has been when he returned, and felt he should've been let go for this season. But he's proved me wrong (not an uncommon event). I'm surprised by his performance this year. If I was in charge I'd consider him for a driver's seat (and last year, I NEVER thought I'd say that!)

JV to Ferrari? Never say never and I believe in out of left field bombshells. Remember Button trying to go back to Williams and how about Renault sticking with Fisichella for '07. Anyway, JV is cut from some good stock incause we have all forgot.

JV desreves a seat far more than at least half the field, after all he has won, unlike webber, button, etc. he was a world champion. something they will never be.
