Maeter - It appears that the previous owner wanted more information. There are many reasons to have a voltmeter - pick yours. VDO made gauges for several manufacturers, and the P.O. apparently tried to stay within the VDO gauge-set when adding the voltmeter.

With both the ampere meter and voltmeter one can diagnose charging problems to a greater degree from within the driver cab. Perhaps there was a history of alternator-regulator "challenges" that needed diagnosing.

Agree 100%, just it was not appropriate for my car. Just trying to figure out if it belonged to a later model Ferrari or to an altogether different vehicle.

This is not Ferrari unique. Just an after market Volt meter. I assume because most of the ferrari modles do not have a volt meter the PO wanted to get a reading. I know on the 308's some folks take out the clock and replace it with an aftermarket volt meter.

Maeter - I have one of those guages in my Ford RS200 - I think it was just what ever VDO were selling at the time.

The reason I have posted is, mine is broken and I am looking for a replacement so if you come across any for sale please drop me an email :)
