    OK...this is a bit ;)

Here is the "rough draft" for my new website. Let the critque begin!!!

This is a unique oppurtunity to field some input and if I like the suggestions we will consider it as we finalize things.

    Again...this is only a "rough draft"...and be nice...my Son designed it ;)

It takes some time...he has a lot of flash, etc that needs to be re worked so it will load faster. If you have dial up it may not load at all. Cable modem takes about 45 seconds in it's present form ;)

And keep in mind my son wrote the Bio...not me...I prefer to refer to my workspace as a studio [which happens to be located in my garage].

    Good work!
Pictures are very bright and clear, easy navigation, nice design

Music is a nice touch, but not to everyone's taste i'm afraid...

Yes...the music...something to think about. My son put it there for kicks, not sure it is for everybody.

After and eternity it finally loaded and it's a cool site. I would like it better if there wasn't sound when you mouse over the buttons and the music is a bit much, I do like how the racetrack with the sectors are the different links for the site tho.

As a rough draft, generally I like it. Yes, it's slow to load, but you seem to have a fix in the works. I didn't listen to the music.. not sure it's needed. The track sectors graphic interface deal is pretty cool. Although somewhat cheesy, I do kinda like the turn-they-key to enter deal.

The music will not be on the live site...don't want any issues and it's not that important to have it.

    Other changes to come:

Home page will have "current work" as a slide presentation or general news on what's coming with photos.
Art page will be the "Gallery".
Bio page will be edited and the contact page will have a additional info for quotes

mac/firefox - if I hit this: http://plm-studio.com.previewdns.com/project_4.swf I can get to it. Takes a good minute and a half to load on a 5Mb fiber connection.

A few thoughts without decompiling the swf file - The image is rasterized but not optimized for flash (the one with the key). This might be how it is imported or how it is rendered within flash. For optimizations in flash, under testing movie, make sure you are checking the bandwidth profiler. This should narrow down your bottleneck during loading, where you can delay some loading.

Great modelwork! What scale? But like you've already heard, I'd stay away from the flash.

Wow--that Ferrari is a 1:43? Unbelievable detail for a car that small.

    Hi Peter,

Nice work the preview of the site look professional and the music with it fits but i would leave it away when you open the sub menu's.
By the way it works on Firefox because i work with it it only needs some time to open but for all good things in life you need patience.

congratulations on the site and i look forwards to see the end result

    Friendly greetings,

    Alex
