When I first saw this process being done on an E92 M3 I nearly had a heart attack. I thought they let an apprentice loose on the car and that he wrecked the paint work lol.

So what does he charge Foose for a 1000 hour detailing?

I was at this NXT event and I can say Derek is a master of wet sanding.

What I think most folks don't understand is how time consuming wet sanding and true paint correction really is. Some folks have told me how they had someone wet sand, cut and polish their full car for $450 and all I can do is cringe.

In terms of paint correction and wet sanding, you get what you pay for. Wet sanding full cars properly is incredibly time consuming and can be somewhat risky for OE paint finishes.

Exactly! I get it from people all the time. Oh, so and so said he can "cut n buff" my car in a day and it will only cost me $300. I just cant understand how someone can speed sand a car, throw a glaze on it, and wax it and call it perfect, and people accept it! Its far from it!

We did a full sanding on a porsche panamera a little while back...60 total hours from start to finish. And that was only 3000 plus 4 steps of compounding/polishing.
