Can you recognize the type of detector from that picture (Make/Manufacturer)?

K40 remote radar detector. Unfortunately it’s a really outdated and incapable detector. Also a bit of a silly location of the indicator lights.

 

When you say outdated and incapable, does that mean it will not detect current radar technology or just that today’s radar detectors are better? Should I take if off and throw it away ?
