There are very few people who you can actually do an alignment properly. In my experience most don't even know how to distinguish toe in from toe out on their machines from a lack of proper training. There are only three people/companies I would trust, one is Carl, the other two don't work on weekends.

Actually, George had a whoopsie with it today while fitting it to a GT4, but it appears to be fine after all. But just to be sure, the guys are coming with the jig to check and re-calibrate it if necessary in the morning (sat).

As always, Carl is prepared, so you got the call to postpone.... but in truth, it'll probably be ok after lunch.

BTW... George got a free lunch today (saved about $8.50)..... but the day looks like it could have cost him ~ $2000.......

    ah well....

Anyway PP, as I'm the leasholder of the property... you and your car are banned :D

Actually Phil, last time I checked you couldn't make an employee pay for their stuff ups. One of the joys of being an employer in the land of Oz.

    ;) George is self employed.

If I could afford to employ somebody, I'd assume all responsibilities of course, and wouldn't even have said it wasn't me.

George is a big boy, he knows the score.

And how come a big smiley appeard in Scott's quote of my report...?

There is a smiley in your original post. It's not in the same position though.

    But to answer your question....

Any competant, trained, experienced mechanic with fine string, a steel rule and a camber/caster gauge can do a wheel alignement.

Carls machine simply saves time, and provides a live caster reading and a means of access for adjustments.

Sorry if you don't agree, was merely offering a suggestion, which I do believe you asked for...

Speaking of which........its a small world Phil. I was talking to a guy here around 2 weeks ago,he works at a local wheel/tyre shop. He saw my 348, and then mentioned to me that he used to work for a guy in Melbourne that fixes ferrari's and lambos and race cars. His name is Phil Hughes. Do you know of him? I laughed and said wow, what a small world huh? I told him i knew ya,as you did my clutch kit. I forget his name sorry. He seems like a nice enough fellow. :)
